Local MP supports Hadley Wood FC
5th May 2009
Local MP David Burrowes came down to the Hadley Woof FC trial day on Monday 4th May. Hadley Wood FC is the official feeder club to Wingate & Finchley FC giving the players who attended the unique opportunity to join the rapidly growing team. That offers a clear defined player pathway. David said “It was great to see the young players enjoying themselves in a safe environment with a clear player pathway.”
The Coaches and backroom staff of the Hadley Wood FC and Wingate Finchley strive for perfection. The club has, this year, had unprecedented success with the 1st team reaching the final round of qualifying for the FA trophy and its highest ever finish in the Ryman League.
The Capital League side made the semi final of the Presidents cup. The Under 15’s Hadley Wood side made the semi final of the Hertfordshire FA county cup. The U14’s Wingate 7 Finchley C of E made the London FA county cup and Eastern Junior alliance final and the U11’s won the Watford Friendly League cup. David said “I’m very proud of the success of Hadley Wood FC, especially as I played for them when I was younger, I wish them all the success for the future.”
