MP welcomes trust and leadership debate

David Burrowes comments ahead of the Enfield Civil Society Forum debate on trust and leadership in Parliament on 19th November.

David said:
"I am looking forward to taking part in the debate about the issue of trust and leadership. Parliament has to get its House in order over expenses and the wider relationship between the Executive and Legislature. However the best place to find ways to restore trust and participation in our democracy is in our local community. The debate should be about structures and mechanisms which need reforming to bridge the gap between politicians and people and also policies which have led to many local people feeling powerless to bring about change."
