About Enfield, Southgate
Enfield Southgate as a constituency came into being as an amalgamation of various other Enfield constituencies in 1974. Situated between the countryside of Hertfordshire and the city of London the constituency is situated on the green belt, in fact only one third of the constituency is built on.
Enfield Southgate has excellent transport links; five Tube stations all on the Piccadilly line, four train stations on the WAGN Hertford loop and two on the Main East-coast line. It is therefore ideally situated for Travel to the City of London (30 mins) and the West-End (45 mins).
Despite being close to the heart of London, this leafy suburb retains a certain Country village feel which stems from the small villages around which the area grew up. Each area is very different and distinctive in its own right but together they form Enfield Southgate, the area we love and call home.
