I am passionate about young people!

Having 6 young children probably gives the game away, but I have also been a voluntary youth worker for 10 years as a leader of a church based youth group in Cockfosters. I also spent 5 months in South Africa helping to run multi racial youth camps, prior to commencing my legal career. In the last couple of years I have dusted off my youth worker shorts and been a leader on a youth camp run by my local church in the summer.

 

 

Since being elected MP I have wanted to promote the need for good facilities for young people in Enfield. When I meet local people I often hear that there is nothing for young people to do. I want to change that and have been working with the Council and voluntary groups to increase the availability of youth activities in Enfield Southgate.
